House Business Advisory Committee Meeting Today to Discuss Digital Parliament

Kathmandu. The Business Advisory Committee meeting of the House of Representatives is being held today. The meeting has been called by Speaker Dolprasad Aryal with the objective of making the parliament technologically friendly and making the hearing of public concern issues raised by the MPs effective.

The meeting, which will be held at 12 noon in the Business Hall at Singha Durbar, will primarily discuss the concept of a digital parliament, informed spokesperson of the Federal Parliament Secretariat Ekram Giri. The secretariat has stated that it is preparing to connect the public concern issues raised by the MPs during the zero hour, emergency hour, and special hour of the parliament with the concerned ministries and bodies through a digital system. Once such a system is implemented, it is expected to be easier to track what decision the government has made on the issues raised by the MPs, what the work progress is, and when it has been addressed.
