Sandeep Lamichhane Renews Five-Year Contract with Bridge International Consultancy

Kathmandu. A five-year contract has been signed between Nepali national cricket team's leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane and Bridge International Consultancy. On Saturday, in a program organized formally in Pokhara, educational consultancy company Bridge renewed its contract with Sandeep for five years. Earlier, in Bhadra 2081, Bridge International had signed a two-year contract with Sandeep. While some time was still left on that contract, Bridge renewed the contract with Sandeep and signed for an additional five years. Bridge International's CEO Bhuwan Giri and Sandeep Lamichhane signed the contract. Bridge International's CEO Bhuwan Giri stated that the contract is for five years and this is the first time in Nepal's sports history that a contract of such a long duration has been signed at once. Bhuwan Giri said that signing with Sandeep for the first time was a proud moment and he is very happy to be able to sign again. 'We signed about two years ago. Time passed so quickly, we didn't even realize it. We have renewed the contract for five years,' Giri said. 'We renewed the contract some time ago to continue our collaboration for a much longer time.' Giri said that Sandeep has made Nepal known in international cricket and that Sandeep is the person who represents Nepal in a different field after Sagarmatha and Gautam Buddha. Giri stated that they have also announced the 'Rising and Shining with S 25' program with the aim of developing cricket from the ground level, and have a plan to search for talented players in every province and provide scholarships to at least 5 players. 'Connecting education and sports, and to ensure that the love and affection for cricket does not fade away from the sport, we have planned to select at least 5 individuals to provide scholarships, aiming to produce other cricketers like Sandeep. This is a big matter for cricket.' Similarly, Bridge Consultancy's Chairman Mahesh Giri said that signing the contract with Sandeep is not just a signature but a team strip. Sandeep Lamichhane had set a world record for the fastest 150 wickets in ODI cricket. He achieved this feat in 73 matches, breaking the record of Australia's Mitchell Starc, who took 77 matches. Similarly, Sandeep also holds the record for the fastest 100 wickets in ODIs. Sandeep said that Bridge International helped him when he was going through a difficult time two years ago, and this contract is like family. 'Bridge helped me up when I fell during a difficult time. This contract gives me a responsibility, which we will carry forward as an unbreakable relationship.' Sandeep expressed his gratitude that Bridge International is Nepal's number one consultancy and that they have renewed the contract for another five years by trusting him. 'You are giving me this responsibility. Whenever I represent Nepal, I will always be loyal to Nepal and towards Nepal.' At the contract program, Gandaki Province's Minister for Social Youth and Sports Rekha Gurung, Provincial Assembly member Tika Maya Basyal, Director of Global Business and Relations Andrew Hopkins, NRNA Spokesperson Somprasad Sapkota, General Secretary of Nepal School Sports Federation Rajkumar Karki, among others, discussed Sandeep's contribution to Nepali cricket and his role in making Nepal known to the world.
