Congress Recalls 1960s Armed Revolution Incident in Chitwan

Kathmandu. After the Panchayat rule began by overthrowing the then elected Prime Minister B.P. Koirala-led government on Poush 1, 2017 BS, the Congress started an agitation against it.

In the early part of 2018 BS, during the 'armed revolution' started under the leadership of Nepali Congress leader Subarna Shamsher, Congress leaders-activists from Tanahu, Gorkha, Lamjung, and Dhading gathered in Chitwan and took control of government offices there for 72 hours.
