Smart License Printing Halted for Over Two Months, Causing Hardship

Kathmandu. The printing of driving licenses (smart licenses) has been halted for more than two months, causing extreme hardship to thousands of service recipients across the country. Especially, migrant workers going abroad for foreign employment and students preparing to leave for studies are facing significant problems due to not receiving licenses on time.

This confusion has arisen because the system and printing process have not been fully implemented at the provincial level after the authority was transferred from the federal government.
