Food Department Orders Recall of Low-Quality 'Quality' Brand Mung Dal

Kathmandu. The Department of Food Technology and Quality Control has ordered the immediate recall of mung dal labeled 'Quality' brand with batch number 30, after it was found to be of low quality. The department has also banned its sale and distribution after the sample collected during market monitoring was found to be substandard in laboratory tests.

The department issued a notice on June 31, 2083, directing the producer, 'Grihini Agro Product' located in Pokhara, Kaski, to immediately withdraw the dal of the said brand from the market.
