UK Proposes Social Media Curfew for Teenagers

Kathmandu. The British government has proposed a curfew on social media use for teenagers aged 16 and 17 from midnight to 6 am. According to the proposal, social media apps like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube will be closed by default for users aged 16 and 17 from 12 am to 6 am.

The government also plans to disable addictive features such as auto-play videos and infinite scroll by default. According to the government, these measures will help improve teenagers' sleep, focus on studies, and increase time spent with family.
