Opposition Parties Raise Objections in Parliament Over Prime Minister's Address

Kathmandu. Opposition parties Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) and CPN-UML have raised objections in the House of Representatives meeting when Prime Minister Balendra Shah asked to stand at the rostrum and ask questions. CPN Chief Whip Yuvraj Dulal and UML Chief Whip Ain Mahar have registered objections as per Rule 56 of the House of Representatives Regulations. They stated that the constitution and the House of Representatives Regulations have been violated. Dulal objected in the House of Representatives stating that the provision for registering questions was made 3 days ago and it was not followed. He stated that Rule 56 of the House of Representatives Regulations has a provision for asking questions. Mahar also registered an objection as per Article 56.
