Saptakoshi River Water Flow Increases with Monsoon

Sunsari. With the onset of monsoon, the water flow in Saptakoshi is continuing to increase. The water flow at Kosi Barrage reached 163,230 cusecs late on Wednesday, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police of Sunsari, Chandrabahadur Khadka. It is estimated that the flow in the river may increase further as it continues to rain in eastern Nepal.

Out of the 56 gates of Kosi Barrage, 21 gates have been opened. The barrage has a total of 56 gates, including 52 main gates and four canal gates.
