Mahakali River Water Level May Rise Due to Silt Cleaning at Dhauliganga Dam, Residents Urged to Take Precaution

Mahendranagar. The District Administration Office, Kanchanpur has urged residents of coastal areas along the Mahakali River to take precautionary measures due to the possibility of a rise in the water level.

Issuing a notice today, the administration urged caution about the potential rise in the Mahakali River's water level as silt cleaning (removing sand, soil, mud, and silt accumulated in the dam) will be carried out at the Dhauliganga Hydropower Project dam in India from 6 AM on Friday to 5 PM on Saturday.
