Woman Claims Rs. 7.47 Million Fraud, Demands Investigation

Udaipur. Sarita Karki, a resident of Chaudandigadhi Municipality, Udaipur, has claimed to be a victim of fraud and injustice amounting to Rs. 7.47 million and has demanded a fair investigation and action against the culprits from the concerned authorities.

Organizing a press conference in the capital on Saturday, Karki stated that five years ago, she had paid Rs. 5.4 million as a down payment for a 4-ana land located in Kabhresthali, Jitpur Fedi, Tarkeshwor Municipality, Kathmandu, through a real estate company operated in the name of Umamaya Tamang. However, the land was not transferred to her name, and Umamaya Tamang absconded, she said.
