Over 100 Ambulances Deployed for Flood Victims

Chitwan. More than 100 ambulances have been mobilized free of charge for the rescue and management of those injured and deceased in the Bhote Koshi flood. Ambulances from Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Tanahu, Chitwan, Nawalparasi (East), Nawalparasi (West), Rupandehi, and Kapilvastu have been used in the rescue.

According to Navraj Lamichhane, Central President of the United Ambulance Drivers Association Nepal (Trade Union Federation), ambulances from the Kathmandu Valley have also joined the rescue and management efforts. He informed that most ambulances are providing free transportation for the injured to hospitals and bodies from the scene to the morgue.
