Parsa. Power supply disrupted in Chhapkaiya and surrounding areas of Birgunj has been restored. The long-term solution to the power supply in this area has been sought with the completion of the alternative overhead line construction at the 33-11 KV sub-station operating in Chhapkaiya. Now, the power supply has been restored in all disrupted areas, making it possible to supply electricity to the sub-station from two sources. On Asar 31, around 4 PM, the power went out in that area due to a fault in the 33 KV underground cable laid from Nagwa Pokhari to Chhapkaiya sub-station. As soon as the cable problem was identified, a technical team was deployed for repair.
To identify and resolve the problem, underground fault locators were called from the Chanauli distribution center in Chitwan and additional technical teams from the Hetauda distribution center were called, and work began at 1 AM that night. However, due to the blacktopping on the road and continuous rain, it was very difficult to pinpoint the exact location of the problem in the underground cable.
