Flood Victim Recounts Ordeal, Criticizes Rescue Efforts

Kathmandu. Tulsi Bahadur Bhandari, who was caught in a flood in Timure, Rasuwa, is currently undergoing treatment in the emergency ward of Bir Hospital. 53-year-old Bhandari has sustained an injury to his ear.

According to Bhandari, who resides in Timure near Kagbeni for business, around 8:30 AM on Wednesday, large rocks suddenly fell from the mountain, causing a plume of black smoke and dust. Although initially thought to be an earthquake, Bhandari stated that mudslides and large waves that followed soon after swept away vehicles.
