Kathmandu. Nepal Electricity Authority has stated that there was a partial disruption in the electricity transmission system due to a tree falling during the World Cup football final match due to adverse weather. The authority provided this information by issuing a statement on Monday morning.
The authority said: 'This morning, during the World Cup football final match, around 1:54 AM, a tree fell in the Pathlaiya Nikunj area under the Pathlaiya-Dhalkebar 132 KV transmission line due to adverse weather, causing a partial disruption in the electricity transmission system. Due to this, there was a 'ring break' in the transmission network, and the electricity supply was affected for some time in the Kathmandu Valley and various parts of the country.'
