China Mobilizes Hundreds of Rescuers, Military Teams and Equipment After Nepal-Tibet Border Disaster

Kathmandu. China has mobilized hundreds of rescuers, military personnel, engineers and emergency response teams following the devastating floods and landslides along the China-Nepal border.

The People’s Liberation Army (PLA), emergency management authorities, engineering teams, telecommunications companies and specialized rescue organizations have been deployed in the disaster-hit areas, where difficult terrain, continuous rainfall and the threat of further landslides are complicating rescue operations.
