Floods put Dolakha settlements at risk, wash away Pushpalal Highway section

Riverbank erosion has threatened dozens of homes in Gaurishankar Rural Municipality, while flooding in the Tamakoshi river has cut a key road link to the Tarai.

Flash floods in the Khare river in northern Dolakha have eroded riverbanks, placing the Langota and Kharekhola settlements in Ward 8 of Gaurishankar Rural Municipality at immediate risk.
