Businessman Deepak Bhatt Approaches Supreme Court Seeking Release from Custody

Kathmandu. Businessman Deepak Bhatt, who is in custody for further proceedings in cases of banking offense and money laundering, has reached the Supreme Court. Businessman Deepak Bhatt has reached the Supreme Court demanding that the orders of the High Court Patan for banking offense and the Special Court for money laundering case to send him to custody for further proceedings be quashed.

Bhatt reached the Supreme Court on Friday demanding that the said orders from two courts be quashed. In the case filed with a claim of Rs 42 crore 14 lakh 88 thousand 807 as the principal amount under banking offense, on Asar 5, the joint bench of High Court Patan judges Rishi Rajbhandari and Somakant Mainali had ordered to send Bhatt to custody for further proceedings.
