Alternative Route to Gosainkunda Established Due to Flood Risk

Kathmandu. Considering the high risk of this destructive flood in Rasuwa and Nuwakot, an alternative route to Gosainkunda has been decided for the safety of tourists and trekkers. The Nepal Tourism Board has requested not to use the old route via Dhunche until further notice.

Now, trekkers will have to use the new alternative route from Kathmandu via Dupcheshwor, Sisipu, Talu, Phedi, passing through Suryakunda at an altitude of 4,675 meters, and reaching Gosainkunda at an altitude of 4,380 meters. This safety-related information is urged to be shared with all to save lives and to contact 100, 1114, or 102 in case of an emergency.
