Flood Risk Forecast for 23 Districts

Kathmandu. The Flood Forecasting Division has stated that there is a moderate risk of flash floods with a significant increase in the flow of small rivers flowing through 23 districts today. According to the bulletin issued this morning, the flow of Koshi, Narayani, Bagmati, Karnali, Mahakali and their tributaries, along with Kankai, Kamala, Babai, East Rapti and West Rapti rivers, is below the alert level. According to the division, there is a possibility of flash floods in small rivers flowing through Makwanpur, Sindhupalchok, Kavrepalanchok, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Lamjung, Kaski, Tanahu, Baglung, Myagdi, Parbat, Nawalparasi (East of Susta), Nawalparasi West, Bardiya, Darchula, Bajhang, Baitadi, Dadeldhura, Doti, Kailali, Kanchanpur and surrounding districts today. Tomorrow, on July 28, the flow of some small rivers flowing through Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpashchim Province may increase suddenly. Similarly, on July 29, there is a possibility of sudden increase in the flow of some small rivers flowing through Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpashchim Province, the division stated.
