Squatters Face Uncertainty Three Months After Eviction

Kathmandu. Exactly three months have passed since the state's bulldozer ran over squatters and unorganized residents who have been living on the banks of rivers in the Kathmandu Valley for years.
The campaign to clear the river corridor was launched on May 12 under the direct supervision of Prime Minister Balen Shah (Balen). Hundreds of families displaced by the removal of unauthorized settlements along the banks of various rivers, including the Bagmati, were temporarily moved to various 'holding centers' in and around Kathmandu.
