Pakistan's Interior Minister Meets Iran's Foreign Minister in Tehran

Kathmandu. While efforts to strengthen the ceasefire between America and Iran are ongoing, Pakistan's special envoy and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on Sunday. According to the Iranian semi-official news agency Tasnim, the two leaders discussed the regional security situation, America-Iran relations, and the ongoing peace process. Pakistan has been playing the role of a mediator between the two sides to make the America-Iran ceasefire, which came into effect in April, long-term.
Before the meeting, on Saturday night, Mohsin Naqvi also met with Iran's Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni. On that occasion, he stated that he had come to Iran with a message from Pakistan's Army Chief Asim Munir. The message is said to be addressed to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei.
