Thousands Create Human Wave in Mexico City to Mark World Cup Anniversary

Mexico City. Thousands of people gathered on Mexico City's famous Paseo de la Reforma street in an attempt to create the largest human wave in history. This special event has been organized to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the stadium tradition that first became globally famous during the 1986 World Cup. It is also being seen as an exciting opening ceremony for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The event, held a few days before the World Cup begins, reflects the passion, enthusiasm, and deep love for the game among Mexican football fans. Participants, wearing the green jerseys that represent the national team, created a synchronized human wave along the entire street, waving flags, enjoying music, and chanting enthusiastically.
