101 Individuals from Sudurpaschim Region Missing After Bhote Koshi River Flood

Dhangadhi. Reports indicate that 101 individuals from various districts of Sudurpaschim Province have gone missing following a severe flood in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa. As of 6 PM on Thursday, according to Padam Bahadur Bist, Spokesperson and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the Sudurpaschim Province Police Office, the missing include 29 from Kanchanpur, 31 from Kailali, 15 from Dadeldhura, 2 from Doti, 4 from Baitadi, 14 from Bajura, 1 from Achham, 3 from Darchula, and 2 from Bajhang.

The police stated that 5 security personnel are among those missing, including 4 Nepal Police constables and 1 Armed Police Force constable. SSP Bist mentioned that the details of the missing individuals were collected based on information provided by their relatives to the relevant authorities. The data on missing persons from Sudurpaschim was compiled based on information received from the disaster information center established in Rasuwa.
