Nepal and India have no shortage of rhetoric about their unique relationship. Political leaders on both sides routinely describe bilateral ties as historic, deep and multifaceted. Yet, for ordinary businesses and consumers, the strength of a relationship is ultimately measured not by speeches, but by how easily goods move, how cheaply they can be transported and how effectively economic opportunities are created.
