Roads Blocked Across Nepal Due to Heavy Rainfall, Flooding, and Landslides

Kathmandu. Continuous rainfall for the past few days and the resulting floods and landslides have blocked major highways and auxiliary roads in various parts of the country. Nepal Police has updated the situation and specially urged travelers to travel only after understanding the road conditions.

According to the police, the Sitapaila-Dharke road section in Nagarjun, Kathmandu, and the Kanti Lokpath in Bagmati Rural Municipality, Lalitpur, are completely blocked due to landslides. Similarly, vehicular movement on the Kanti Lokpath towards Makwanpur has been restricted during nighttime (from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM) considering the potential risks.
