Former Deputy Prime Minister Gopalman Shrestha's Body Kept for Tributes

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Gopalman Shrestha's body has been kept at the party office for tributes. Party President Gagan Thapa draped the party flag over Shrestha's body. The party has decided to observe mourning for 3 days on the death of Shrestha at the age of 79. The decision to observe mourning for 3 days was taken at an emergency meeting of the Congress Central Working Committee held on Wednesday.
The Congress has made public mourning programs in honor of leader Shrestha. It has been decided to fly the party flag at half-mast at the central, provincial, and district offices for three days from Shrawan 13, 14, and 15, to close all central, provincial, and district offices on Thursday, Shrawan 14, and to keep condolence books at central, provincial, and district offices for 13 days after the demise, informed Krishna Prasad Dulal, acting chief secretary of the party's central office.
