Rastriya Swatantra Party Central Committee Meeting Begins

Kathmandu. The central committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has started. The meeting, which started two hours late at the central office in Banasthali, has five agendas. According to General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya, the agendas include overall review of the completed general convention, formulation and amendment of necessary procedures, organizational management and nomination, operation of upcoming campaigns and programs, and miscellaneous. This is the second central committee meeting of the RSP after the first general convention held in Chitwan in the second week of Ashadh. Acharya informed that the central committee will not be finalized from today's meeting. According to the amended statute, the RSP will have a 158-member central committee. Among them, 7 office bearers and 99 central members have already been elected. The remaining 51 are to be nominated by the party president. Leaders said that the central committee may take another 15-20 days to be finalized as the Balen group has been slow in sending the list of central members.
