Nepal Approves New National Transport Policy 2083

Kathmandu. The government has approved the 'National Transport Policy, 2083' with the aim of making the country's transport sector technology-friendly, safe, green, and organized. The Council of Ministers approved this new policy at the proposal of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.

With this, the 'National Transport Policy, 2058', which came into implementation two and a half decades ago, has been completely abolished.
