Banana Producers Urge Government for Market Monitoring Amidst Price Hikes

Kailali. Banana producers of Kailali and Kanchanpur have urged the government to make market monitoring effective, citing an unnatural increase in banana prices in the market.

Representatives from the Banana Producers Association Kailali and Banana Producers and Traders Association Kanchanpur, at a joint press conference held here today, stated that although bananas are currently being sold from the garden at Rs 60 to Rs 65 per dozen according to quality, consumers are forced to pay excessively high prices for the same bananas in the market, hence they have requested regulation.
