Koshi Province Government Prioritizes Temple Construction Over Public Welfare in Budget

Biratnagar. Every year, the Koshi Province government proudly announces from the rostrum of the parliament while presenting the budget - our budget is production-oriented, it creates employment, and it improves the living standards of the poor.

The budget statement for the fiscal year 2083/084, presented by the province's Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Bidur Kumar Limthep, also highlights the modernization of agriculture, health, quality education, industrial development, and social security for the poor and marginalized communities as priorities. However, looking at the allocated budget, these priorities seem to be limited only to speeches and documents.
