15 Climbers Died During 2025 Himalayan Climbing Season

Kathmandu. 15 climbers have died during the 2025 Himalayan climbing season. According to the 'Mountaineering in Nepal: Facts and Figures 2026' report released by the Department of Tourism today, 15 climbers lost their lives during various mountain climbing expeditions throughout the year, while 4 climbers went missing.

Those who lost their lives include experienced Sherpa climbers from Austria, Russia, France, Romania, India, Italy, Philippines, and Nepal. Most accidents were caused by bad weather, Himalayan adversities, and health problems arising from altitude.
