Transport Services Disrupted in Eastern Terai Due to Unrest

Kathmandu. Transport services have been affected in various districts of Koshi and Madhesh provinces (Eastern Terai) due to the tense situation that has arisen in recent days. The dispute that started from Captainganj in Sunsari has spread to various districts of Madhesh including Siraha and Dhanusha, affecting daily life as well as transport services. Vehicles could not run due to curfew, prohibitory orders, and demonstrations in various places.

Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs National Federation Chairman Saroj Sitaula said that the transport sector has been affected due to the tense situation. Talking to Ratopati on Friday, he informed that the unrest in areas like Sunsari and Siraha has completely disrupted the entire transport system.
