Scott Edwards Resigns as Netherlands Cricket Captain; Bas de Leede to Take Over

Kathmandu. Netherlands captain Scott Edwards has resigned from the captaincy. He announced his separation from leadership upon the conclusion of the Utrecht phase of the ICC Cricket World Cup League-2. He took over the captaincy in June 2022.

In his place, fast-bowling all-rounder Bas de Leede will take over the captaincy of the team from the remaining matches of League-2. In a video released by the Royal Dutch Cricket Association, Edwards announced his decision to step down from the captaincy while addressing the team players.
