Former Minister Sita Gurung Highlights Challenges to Democracy

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader and former minister Sita Gurung has stated that democracy is facing further challenges due to the inability to distinguish between systems and individuals. Speaking at a program on the topic of 'The Interrelationship Between Society and Politics,' she expressed concern that the system could not be strengthened even after a long struggle to achieve democracy.

She emphasized the need to create an environment where every citizen sees their security and future ensured in the state, addressing the country's diversity. Leader Gurung stated that the main challenge and necessity at present is to reawaken hope among the people, keeping in mind the current political situation, geo-politics, and social environment.
