AFC President Welcomes FIFA's Withdrawal of Private Investment Plan for World Cup

Kathmandu. Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa has welcomed the decision of the International Football Federation (FIFA) to withdraw its plan to bring in private investment for its tournaments, including the World Cup.

He also emphasized that in the future, such important decisions related to world football should be made only after transparently consulting with all stakeholders.
