RPP Leader Gyan Bahadur Shahi Urges Unity in National Disaster Response

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party Parliamentary Party Leader Gyan Bahadur Shahi has stated that political parties should rise above politics and support the government during national disasters like floods and landslides.

Speaking to journalists after participating in an all-party meeting organized by Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Ravi Lamichhane, he presented various suggestions for disaster management and rescue. He urged the government to immediately rescue citizens stranded due to floods in areas like Rasuwa. Specifically, he drew the attention of the Home Minister to the information that more than 300 people are trapped inside the tunnel of Trishuli, Haku 216 (JB), informing that rescue operations have started since Thursday morning via helicopter of the Armed Police and that instructions have been given to rescue those trapped in the tunnel alive.
