Koshi Province Chief Minister Refuses to Resign on Party's Directive

Biratnagar. UML has directed Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki to resign. Central Secretary Sherdhan Rai, who is also the UML Koshi Province In-charge, met Karki on Saturday and urged him to resign.

In response, Chief Minister Karki reiterated his stance that he is in favor of law and process and will not resign until a institutional decision from the party arrives, according to sources. 'Sherdhan Rai said that resignation should be given,' the source said, 'Chief Minister insisted that he will not resign and wants an institutional decision.'
