Nepal Airlines Carried Nearly 50,000 Passengers Last Fiscal Year, Generated NPR 17.33 Billion

Kathmandu. National flag carrier Nepal Airlines (Nepal Airlines) has provided service to nearly 50,000 passengers in the last fiscal year. According to the airline's spokesperson and Corporate Department Director Archana Khadka, the airline carried 49,460 passengers to their destinations through 294 flights throughout the last fiscal year. It has been informed that the company has done business worth NPR 17.33 billion by selling tickets in the last one year.

Compared to the previous year, the airline has stated that the seat utilization (occupancy) rate of the aircraft has also increased from 75 percent to 85.4 percent. In terms of income, the airline has made a leap in a short time. While the airline earned NPR 1.07 billion in the month of Asar last year, it has informed that it has increased by about 32 percent to NPR 1.3352 billion in Asar this year.
