CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokharel Directs 'Mission Party Awakening' Campaign

Kathmandu. CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has directed to start the 'Mission Party Awakening' campaign in all local levels as it is an important campaign for party building. Pokharel gave this instruction while addressing a virtual meeting with the office bearers of the party's provincial committees and central representatives of Mission Party Awakening.

He urged to mobilize not only party committees but also mass organizations to make this campaign, which was started with the objective of reconnecting the party's broken relationship with the people, successful. The party awakening campaign is currently being carried out by district committees preparing programs. The party has sent central representatives up to the local level. General Secretary Pokharel suggested expanding the scope of party expansion and completing the awakening campaign by including classes, communities, and professional sectors. Speaking on the need for reorganization in ideology, organization, and leadership to strengthen the party, Pokharel recalled that people's multi-party democracy has been enriched.
