Supreme Court Orders Kidney Transplant for Bhutanese Refugee

Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has paved the way for a kidney transplant for a Bhutanese refugee woman residing in the Beldangi camp in Jhapa. With this, the Supreme Court has also opened the way for kidney transplants for non-Nepalis.

A joint bench of Justices Sharda Subedi and Nripadhwaj Niraula issued a mandamus in the name of Aashwini Medical College & Hospital to proceed with the kidney transplant of Bhutanese refugee Sara Gajmer.
