Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane, speaking on NDTV's India-Nepal dialogue program, provided information about the devastating situation of floods and landslides in Nepal. He expressed gratitude to the Indian government and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the cooperation and sympathy shown during this difficult time of disaster.
Rabi Lamichhane said, 'I want to thank our foreign friends. I am grateful to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for calling our Prime Minister Balendra Shah yesterday evening and offering any assistance Nepal requires and for providing relief materials.' He stated that solidarity at such a time is not just a formality but deeply felt. Speaking about the situation in Nepal, he narrated the painful scenes of houses destroyed, roads and bridges washed away, and families sitting on riverbanks waiting for news of their relatives. He mentioned that the exact figures of the damage have not yet come in and the counting is still ongoing. He also provided information that the Nepali government has mobilized mechanisms on every front for search, rescue, and relief through the Nepali security agencies.
