Judicial Committee Completes Investigation into Self-Immolation Case

Kathmandu. The judicial committee formed to investigate the truth behind the death of Ganesh Nepali, who immolated himself in Tripureswor, Kathmandu, has completed its work. The Council of Ministers had formed the committee on August 3, headed by former judge Keshav Prasad Bastola. The committee has investigated the truth of the incident and prepared a report. ‍

The committee has submitted the report to Chief Secretary Govinda Bahadur Karki. Committee coordinator and former judge Keshav Prasad Bastola said that the report was handed over to the Chief Secretary on August 13. Nepali, who attempted self-immolation by sprinkling petrol on his body in front of the Passport Department in Tripureswor on June 25, died during treatment.
