Nepal Faces Devastating Floods After Previous Disasters, Political Unity Emerges

Kathmandu. Less than a year after the destruction from the Genji movement, the country has once again faced another devastating disaster. Last year, on Bhadra 23 and 24, the destructive incident caused a loss of approximately 84.45 billion rupees to the country.
The tragic incident was slowly normalizing, but on Wednesday, a devastating flood from the Bhote Koshi river, originating from China's Tibet Autonomous Region, caused significant damage to the coastal areas of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading. The flood has caused the deaths of many citizens and an estimated physical damage of approximately 200 billion rupees.
