Far-Western Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah's Government Faces Uncertainty

Dhangadhi. Far-Western Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah reshuffled the cabinet on Jestha 25 to quell the escalating dispute within his own party, Nepali Congress. He appointed three ministers and two state ministers, including disgruntled factions, to the government. At that time, Chief Minister Shah presented this as a message of unity within the party.

The newly appointed ministers also pledged to accelerate the province's development, make the budget effective, and work in a new way during the remaining term. However, Chief Minister Shah's crisis did not end. The government led by him has fallen into a minority after the ruling coalition partners withdrew their support. With the government in the minority, it is almost certain that those appointed as ministers two months ago will have to leave the government.
