Seven Parties Form Alliance in Terai/Madhesh

Kathmandu. An alliance comprising various seven parties has been formed in the Terai/Madhesh. The alliance, scheduled to be announced on August 8, includes the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal led by Upendra Yadav, the Janamat Party led by Dr. CK Raut, the Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal with Resham Chaudhary as patron, the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party of Janardan Sharma, the Nepal Federal Samajwadi Party led by Rizwan Ansari, the Aam Janata Party led by Prabhu Sah, and the Bahujan Ekta Party led by Harinandan Kumar Ambedkar.

It is not clear under whose leadership the alliance will operate. Jitendra Sonal, a leader of Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, stated that the detailed announcement will be made on August 8. "Discussions are ongoing regarding the alliance's operating procedures, its direction, and programs," he said, "We will reveal everything on the day of the announcement."
