Brave Climber Kili Pemba Sherpa Dies in Broad Peak Avalanche

Dolkha. Mountains are not just piles of rock and snow, for some they are life, identity, and dreams. Kili Pemba Sherpa (Kilu), born in Beding village of Rolwaling valley in Gaurishankar Rural Municipality-9, Dolkha, made this dream his life.

He repeatedly set foot on the world's highest peaks, elevating Nepal further on the international mountaineering map. But tragically, the life of this brave climber, who successfully summited all 14 eight-thousanders in the world, finally ended in a devastating avalanche on Pakistan's Broad Peak (8,047 meters).
