Nepal Drafts National Road Safety Act 2083 to Enhance Traffic Safety

Kathmandu. The government has prepared the draft of the 'National Road Safety Act, 2083' to make the country's road transport safe and organized. This bill, which is being prepared to be presented in the Federal Parliament, proposes strict safety standards from vehicle import to road construction engineering.

The draft published by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport states that the existing trend of prioritizing only commercial profit in vehicle imports will be ended, and road safety standards will now be made mandatory.
