Below Average Rainfall Recorded in August

Kathmandu. Although monsoon activity continues, rainfall this year has been below average by August. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, an average of 15.7 millimeters of rain was measured across the country in the last 24 hours.

According to the department, rain has occurred in 211 out of 429 rain measurement centers in the country. The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was measured at 108.2 millimeters in Sangoli, Rautahat.
