NRB’s active role is necessary in economic transformation, Finance Minister asserts

Kathmandu, Aug 5: Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle has said that the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) should move forward not just as a regulatory institution, but as a partner and co-creator of Nepal’s economic transformation.

In a discussion today at the Ministry of Finance with the NRB executive directors, he expressed the view that the central bank should actively play the role of a partner in the country’s economic transformation, along with its role as a regulatory body.
