Shoe Industry Dialogue with Rudra Neupane on 'Business Talk'

Kathmandu. The shoe and slipper industry is a major sector moving towards self-reliance in Nepal's economy. Recently, this sector has also made strides in exports. However, despite abundant potential, policy problems, smuggling, and lack of manpower have prevented this sector from operating at its full capacity.

The government led by Prime Minister Balen Shah has given top priority to manufacturing industries. It has already pledged to solve policy problems seen in manufacturing industries like shoes and slippers and facilitate them.
